This is a large sterling silver pendant of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and a bezel set round gemstone. The pendant depicts Horus on either side and in the center is a scarab beetle and round gemstone. Horus is a god in the form of a falcon who's right eye is the sun, representing quintessence and the left eye is the moon representing healing. The scarab is widely used as good luck and represents good fortune, hope, restoration of life, and regeneration. It was also a symbol of immortality, resurrection, metamorphosis, and protection. There is large choice of gemstones that can be used in the center of the pendant. It is shown photographed in turquoise, used for protection, and lapis lazuli, a symbol for truth. Lapis is also a sacred stone that they believed could cure headaches and insomnia!
